Markaz institution organised a National Seminar on Commerce


Kozhikode: Markaz Graden Imam Shafi College, an academic institution under Markaz, organised a one-day national seminar on “Transparency and ethics in business: an overview on social Ambience” under Markaz’s commerce department.
Kashmir Central University Professor Dr Zahoor Ahmed Geelan inaugurated the conference. He said that Neo modern business Enterprises will promote social welfare and national soundness by the values that modernly shaped in the business field. The seminar was organised in association with the University of Calicut. A book formed copy of the Selected articles presented at the seminar was launched in the function. The book with ISBN standard will be available to experts in the management sector globally.
The subject-based talk was delivered by Dr Rafeed Ali, assistant professor, Maulana Azad National University Srinagar. The program was chaired Sidheeque Nurani, by the principal of Imam Shafi college. Among the two technical sessions, the keynote of the first session themed “philosophy of intrinsic value in Islam as a fundamental principle of ethics and transparency” presented by Dr.shafi, Assistant professor, National Institute of technology, Calicut and chaired by Asaf Nurani, Joint director, Markaz Garden. The keynote of the second session on “finance and marketing: how Islamic banking and Sharia marketing conceptualize and exact ethical economy” was delivered by Sharif AP, assistant professor, Markaz Law college and chaired by Dr Umarul Farooq Saqafi, PhD holder in Management from Jamia Millia University. Discussions on various ethical principles, the relevance of Islamic laws in the modern world of business, modern Islamic tools in finance, etc. were held.
